0.1MHz‑6GHz Full Band Low Noise Amplifier,Professional 20dB High Gain LNA RF Power Preamplifier Module (Ship with 2500mAh Li Ion Battery)This is a neat little amplifier which is advertised to give 20dB gain at 0.1Mhz to 6Ghz. It has SMA input and output, a built-in 300mAh Li-ion battery, power switch, a Micro-USB charge port and a hole in the side where you can see the charge and power LED’s. It is a very tiny unit measuring just 50 x 45 x 18mm, made of aluminium in a gold colour with end caps made of what looks like fibreglass PCB board that is shielded on the inside.One small thing that I had not realised is that even the battery version can still be powered using a Bias-T from something such as an SDR dongle which also bypasses the battery switch. There is a green LED to show it is powered and a red LED to indicate charging.On the inside is a TP4056 battery management IC for charging the battery, static discharge protection on the input and the amplifier itself is a TQP3M9037 low noise amplifier. The specified gain of the chip is 700Mhz to 6Ghz at 20dB although the markings on the case show 100khz to 6Ghz.I checked this myself and was pleased to find the gain at 100khz is 25dB and this increases to 30db at around 1Mhz and then gradually drops off to 25dB at around 500Mhz. With 18dB at 1Ghz, 16dB at 2Ghz, 9dB at 3Ghz, and by 4Ghz the gain is almost zero.My main interest is in LF to HF, so I am pleased with the available gain at those frequencies, this makes it ideal to fix to portable loop antennas. I do have a little interest up to about 1.5Ghz and there remains sufficient gain for my use.I am really pleased with this amplifier, it is very small and portable, has a built-in battery, has Bias-T input capabilities for more permanent power, and I think a bargain at the listed price, however this would have been at least 4 stars but I will only give it 3 stars purely because it clearly states it comes with a 2500mA battery yet the battery supplied is only 300mAh, a significant difference!
