This review is written after about 4-5 sessions of shooting and general pulpit of the bow when not shooting.The thumb ring 2 layers of leather to protect to front of the thumb, and if will initially feel very stiff, so you have to give it about 2 hours worth of ends for it to loosen up. After this, it develops a flex and will soften slightly - and here is begins to feel very nice and very consistent whilst shooting.The double leather layer is a great advantage and it allows me to shoot higher poundage bows easily, not worrying about the pain of the string, but don't go too high poundage as you will still feel the pressure of compression inside your thumb.Adjustable function works very nicely and allows this ring to be a perfect fit for all sizes of thumbs, even very thin thumbs like my own (pictured).The downside of this thumb ring is that the elastic string starts to leave marks in the back of your thumb, and it feels quite sharp when pressing in at the back. Despite this, it's still very comfort to shoot with and after that 2 hours of ends to flex the ring out a bit, you won't notice the sharpness on the back of your thumb, and a good practice is to remove it after each ends and replace it when you are shooting again.
