Pretty much a standard set of WS2812B LED pixels. Easy to control from either an Arduino or ESP32 using the usual Adafruit or FastLED libraries. They work as expected.

Each of these little boards contains 7 daisy chained, fully addressable RGB Ws2812b LED modules. They work just fine when driven by the correct signals. The Ws2812b protocol relies on a single self clocking data stream (using PWM, Pulse Width Modulation) with a nominal frequency of 800k bits/sec. Which has a tolerance of between 645 and 1053 k bits/sec. Outside this range there is no guarantee the modules will light correctly. The code consists of a sequence of 24 bit numbers, 8 bits per colour. The first module in the chain reads the first 24 bit number, sets its LEDs accordingly and passes on all subsequent data to the next module which acts in the same way. Hence if there are N modules you need to send N off 24 bit words to control them all. But generating the codes is easy as someone has done all the heavy lifting for you and created libraries for the Arduino and other microcontrollers. So if you are using just one of these boards you need 7 words to address all the LEDs. But each board has both data in and data out solder pads, so you can daisy chain the boards as well. The length of the daisy chain is limited to about 10m, by the power supply and any memory constraints of the device, an Arduino for example, you use to generate the codes.
