I use it when cycling, and have had something similar before. The 1080p video quality is adequate, & there's no image stabilisation of course. Audio recording, with the end cap tightened on, is not good - normal level sounds don't register, and one can only just faintly hear a shout next to the unit. With the end cap off, the microphone is exposed and sound is recorded, but having the cap off is not ideal. On the plus side, there's a removable "3.7V Li-Po Battery". On a recent ride it recorded for about 4.75 hrs without running out of battery. Camera is lightweight at 93g. I don't use the supplied mount for the camera, but rather a 'lock block' mount. I often use another camera with better audio & also with stabilisation - so this camera is mainly a second unit. The camera 'does the job', but it depends what you want / need really...The time stamp function seems Ok. So if charging when attached to the PC, the stamp will keep time, when the camera is 'ejected'. However it seems that if one opens the file on the PC, it resets, & you have to go back in correct it, eject unit, and do a quick recording to activate the new time. Not tested this camera in the wet / rainy condition.UPDATE: I've been using this camera 2 or 3 times a week for a few month - working fine. The MANUAL isn't written well, and seem inaccurate re. the unit's operation. This seems to be what I've worked out, so far...Normal Recording. [Set to Video mode + USB mode.]2 or 3 sec press & release, recording starts - slow green flash. Quick press, recording stops - solid green, to save & enters standby. Either, quick press to resume recording, or,Press longer until vibration and camera/light turns offRecording while charging. [Set to Video mode + 'Recording while charging' mode]2 or 3 sec press & release, split red / green light - green initially fast flash, then turns to slow green, while recording starts.Quick press to end recording & enter standby, flashing green stops, static split red/green.Hold long press until vibration, cam turns off.Charging.Connected to the PC in 'Normal' Video/USB mode - red light blinks slowly indicating charge. However, if using a mains socket USB charger, the unit only seems to indicate charging (blinking red light) if switched to Video + 'Recording while charging' mode; in Video/USB mode - the light just remains static green.
