This seems to be well made, the rope seems to be of good quality, and the steel carabiners are lockable. The splice at the ends is interesting, with a couple of inches of rope being stitched together, then covered by a plastic sheath. I'm not sure of the security afforded by this method of construction, but it does provide permanent loops at each end for the attachment of the carabiners. I would prefer a simple rope with a bowline or figure 8 loop at each end. This might be useful to rope two people together when traversing a ridge, but a simple rope would be more flexible. Where I can see it being of use it to tree surgeons, or builders to hoist up chainsaws or buckets. This rope is rated as 12kN where Type A, EN1891 standards state that a static rope must have a minimum strength of 22kN, so should this rope should not be used for climbing or rappelling.

I bought this to make a swing in the garden and have some spare for other jobs around the house like lashing down the chicken run roof. Unfortunately, the weather has been fowl so no swing put up yet.The built in carabiner are handy for what I need it for but I'm not sure I'd trust them for climbing.
