My key fob on my Vauxhall Astra 2015 stopped opening the car. It would lock okay but not open. My spare key worked as it should so this suggested a problem with the micro switch in the fob.Bought a pack of these micro switches in the hope I could get it to work before having to buy a whole new fob.It was a bit fiddly to remove the old and solder the new switch in place but with a bit of perseverance I managed to do it.I put everything back into the fob case and hey presto it worked.I am over the moon.Tip: I used a headband magnifier to see what I was doing close up, without this I would not have been able to see the contacts on the switch to solder them.Happy days.
