My wife is a keen baker and this makes a great gift for our granddaughter. It is a super starter kit with a good selection of tools.

All the bit are great turn table works really well it’s only down fall is the piping bags split easily but ok doubled up.

I bought this as it was a cheap option for a (very) novice baker and I'm slightly disappointed.For the price it isn't bad but I feel that the stand/wheel itself wont last more than a few bakes.The stand itself is flimsy feeling and extremely lightweight. I was having issues keeping it in place whilst frosting my smaller cakes and the first/second layers of my bigger cakes. There is no friction on the base so if it's on a smooth surface such as a worktop, it does tend to slip and slide because of this.It also makes a grinding sound when turned as the plastic parts are rubbing against eachother and doesn't feel as smooth as I hoped it would.The small piping bags are good but the size is suited to cupcakes/very small cakes.The piping nozzles feel extremely cheap. They do the job but a few of the tips were bent out of shape. I also have a strong suspicion that they are going to rust after a while due to the (very thin) type of metal they're made out of.The spatulas and scrapers are decent although I'd have liked the spatulas to have more weight to them. I wish the scrapers were bigger also but they do the job well.I feel like this would be an okay buy for a children's play kitchen but if you want to make cakes that don't take 100% more time due to the stand flying around then I'd miss this one out.

I only decorate cakes for family occasions so whilst this might not be ideal for a more professional baker for basic day to day recipes it does the job just fine. The size of the stand is perfectly adequate for the sizes of cakes I make and it rotates easily enough also. There are two styles of palette knives which are just fine for my requirements and although there’s only so many nozzles with the piping bags I do have others I can use if necessary and I also really love that the bags are disposable as washing them up is never fun. Overall it’s a helpful little set for a home baker.
