Quite thin but does the job well. Good value

Really handy sleeves for my vinyl collection. 50 in this pack represent good value for money. The sleeves themselves are well made and sturdy - not to thin and easy to insert a heavy gatefold record cover in. I use these sleeves to store the record outside of its cover. This allows me to put the cover in such a way that it doesn’t all bunch up when stored on the shelf, and, on removing the sleeve from the shelf allows me to remove the record from the opening at the top. Worth a play around with these. I know using sleeves like this will definitely help protect my vinyl collection and allow ease of access to the records themselves. Recommended.

I found these LP covers to be good quality and there were a good price (£11.99 for 50) at the time of testing. The covers have a clear and clean appearance and they don’t obscure the album artwork. For some of my older LPs the covers were slightly large (see photos) but that also means that they should fit without causing any damage to the sleeves.I haven’t been able to assess how long these covers might fare with repeated use, but we’ll see? Hopefully they’ll stand up to being slid on and off the storage shelf without splitting.I do like the way they enhance the appearance of the album cover and set it off well… even my old and less than pristine record sleeves look better once inserted into these covers.

When the description said these were 'crystal clear' I was a little skeptical - most record sleeves are pretty transparent but tend to have a little opacity at least, especially if they're fairly thick.I have to say though that I am genuinely impressed with just how transparent these ones are compared to any others in my large collection, some of which are decades old and some just a few weeks. None match these for clarity. They seem fairly robust so far, no tendency to split even on double albums - they're not super loose though so I have found they work best with regular single LPs. They don't 'stick' to each other as some plastic sleeves tend to do - even when stacked quite tight, these slide smoothly in and out of the shelf. If you're the sort who want to display albums (like a 'now playing' or suchlike) then these sleeves are probably a good buy, simply because they are so - to re-use their marketing phrase - crystal clear. They're not badly priced compared to similar offerings.

I have quite a large record collection an am continually adding to it, when I go to record shops and fairs, I rarely only buy one album at a time. I like to keep my LPs in as good condition as possible so when I get a new album, the first thing I do (after playtesting) is change the paper inner sleeve to a polythene one and pop the cover in a protective outer sleeve.Over the years i have bought lots of different types of outer sleeve, from the thinnest nastiest polythene to the 450 micron ones i favour nowadays. When I spotted these ones I figured I'd give them a try.I was unfamiliar with what 3mil polypropylene is (I prefer polythene). It turns out that polypropylene is extremely clear and very plasticy compared to polythene, personally I'm not massively keen on this material, although it is significantly thinner than the sleeves I normally use -which is good on terms of space saving on my shelves but I dont really like how clear they are...but thats mainly as Im used to polythene.Fit wise, they are a little smaller than normal-they're absolutely fine for single non gatefold albums and are ok for gatefold and double LPs if a touch tight. For modern pressings where the discs are 180g and often double with wide spines, you will get the LP in but only just. Anything thicker than this, these sleeves are too tight. So, I'm going to use these sleeves for older second hand single albums that I buy and keep the polythene ones for everything else. At £15 for 50, the price is ok.
