Bought this to repair what seems to be a common problem with Fords. Blower only working on full power (level 4, not on 1, 2 or 3).Early days (fitted it myself this afternoon, and I’m no mechanic) but so far, so good. I have a 2012 Fiesta Zetec, and access to the resistor was fairly straightforward, albeit a bit fiddly. You need a Phillips screwdriver bit and the correct size tork bit. First, remove the side panel on the bulkhead side of the passenger footwell. This requires careful untightening of the plastic screw whilst applying outward pressure with a fingertip on the screw head, then manipulate the plastic side panel out of the way without removing it entirely (saves a lot of time trying to locate all the clips later). The resistor is located towards the front of the vehicle and is accessible with a bit of stretching and the help of a good torch. Unplug the power to the old resistor (grey plastic), then loosen and remove the two retaining screws holding the base of the old resistor (base is white plastic). Take out the old resistor and attach the new one to the power block, but don’t screw it back into place until you’ve tested it. Once you’re happy it’s working, then put everything back together. There are one or two really helpful YouTube clips that show this process in detail. It really is a DIY job and will save you loads!I’m a bit concerned about how cheap this item was (I know, it’s really frustrating, but im always wary of paying too little!!), but it arrived quickly and is so far doing the job it’s supposed to do. I will update this review if I have any problems.Update Sept 2020: still working perfectly!!

After watching a couple of you tube videos I realised that it is a common prob with ford cars for the heater blower to only work on number 4 setting and its the fan resistor,this seemed relatively easy to fit so I took a chance and ordered one, job start to finish took me 15 mins was a bit awkward to reach the screws but job done for £8-99, will update review as this is the first day but delighted so far 😁..Update on this product 2 weeks after fitting it's still working perfectly in my 13 plate fiesta, no problems at all 😁👍

Damn awkward to fit, but worked perfectly. Now have all fan speeds!
