This is an amazing tool i wish i had one ages ago. I am glad i got the higher wattage version, the heat up is basically instant. Insert staple, hold against plastic, pull trigger, gently push it in. Trim off the legs. Done.The build quality seems good, solid and confortable to use. Carry case is a bonus.It's operation was better than expected. Initially I thought it must heat up like a soldering iron, then that heats the staple, but that is NOT the case.It actually passes a LOT of current (at low voltage) through the wire staple. This heats up the staple. The two prongs on the handle stay cool - bonus! It means its efficient, and less likely to burn yourself, and explains the instant heat up of the staple.Now i can fix all those heavy duty plastic items that no amount of gluing could fix.

This has saved us binning a very expensive floor lamp! Heats up almost instantly and comes with more “staples” than I’ll probably ever need. Worth paying a little extra. Ordered late evening, arrived by 10am the next day.
