I bought them to use with the baby Buddha cups and baby Buddha pump, as my lactation consultant recommended the longer inserts to help with sensitivity with the pump. However, I still had issues. But this isn’t because the product is bad. It’s as described and appears to be good quality. I do believe it’s an issue with me.

I wish there were some way to know your correct flange size ahead of time, there is so much variability among women! I've been buying different sized breast flanges for months until I realized that 19mm was probably the best size for me (17mm inserts were slightly too small, 21mm flanges slightly too big, and I couldn't tell that until I pumped for some time. And all the other flange sizes I tried were from 27mm - 23mm before trying 17mm and then, finally, these 19mm inserts).Since trying these 19mm inserts, I finally found 'My size'! I'm using these in my 25mm Freemie cups; the fit of the inserts is good and firm. They do take some effort to remove, but that's the way it is. I lift the edge slightly, then grab the lifted edge with a washcloth or paper towel for a better grip, then twist and pull. But don't rush doing this or you might tear the insert. (I haven't, but I've read where other women have.)

I have both a Spectra S1 and a Freemie Independence II breast pump. Since getting these inserts and putting them into the Freemie cups (which, by the way, attach to the Spectra tubing, too!), I've been enjoying very lovely and painless pumping sessions. I've already recommended these inserts to others in my due date group and so wanted to shout the praises here in the review section as well!
