1x CV Boot Installatie Mount Cone Tool Voor Montage Universele Stretch CV Boot

Bought this to fit the CV gaiter on Peugeot 107 driveshaft.It’s a universal size (big) so I would say it’s suitable for most cars but I had to cut it down ( half the length) for little Peugeot hub.The cone is made of a rigid plastic which isn’t brittle so if you drop it it won’t crack and its smooth finish to slide the gaiter over the top is burr free.It’s a cheap tool that won’t break the bank and makes the job really easy.

I am old school but not done a cv boot for years , no more cv boot for make and model, so I thought ok I just use the top of a road cone did not work. The cv could not be removed from shaft , so the only way was removing the inner boot to let the bearing come out . The only prob with that is some of the bearings don’t have anything holding in the needle bearings , so could end up more work and parts , so I bought this. Worked fine , tip for using oil the cone with engine oil or power steering fluid or whatever then turn the boot inside out of doing the outer boot , then slide the boot onto the cone on the bench and push till the cv boots just started to leave the end of the cone by 10mm/20mm and stop. The rubber grips the end and hold the boot in position , just ready to pop on . Then take the cone to the cv boot and it will pop on with hardly any effort. Works great just don’t try using a road cone , it don’t work👍
