I have an old early aluminium glazed front door which keeps dropping and catching on the bottom. Tried several attempts to unscrew door and raise standing on a pole balanced on a brick! Not safe, but with these I could unscrew the door raise it up to the correct level, resin the holes and put new screws in and leave it to set. Was a bit worried that they might not be strong enough to hold up the door but they did the job perfectly

Hung 7 doors and used these incredible things for hanging and adding the locks. They have developed a slow puncture but I really did batter them and even now they are still useful (just need to keep pumping every minute or so).Great for holding the door tight when drilling the lock well but also superb for fine adjusting the door when putting the first screws in since you can inflate with a tap from your foot.

I've been a carpenter for longer than I want to say on here. In that time I've used many methods in raising doors off the floor while holding a screwdriver or drill. Chisels, door lifters and angling a door to get at least one hinge screw to fit before moving the door again.Since having these pump action door lifter, all I do is to gradually raise each in turn until the hinge slots into place.once a couple of screws are fitted, the quick release on the pump allows me to pull the bags out.They are really good.I'm concerned how robust they are (whether they'd puncture easily) but I've fitted a 4 foot wide, 2" thick and 7' high door with them- on my own (over 80 kilos even though these are rated for 80-kilo max as I understand it)

What a fantastic piece of kit. Might not have to use every day, but when you do use them wow, perfect wish I had, had them thirty years ago. now has pride of place in my tool box
