Was mir als erstes aufgefallen ist: Es werden keine O-Ringe für die M20 Verschraubung mitgeliefert. Ich kenne das so, dass da immer eine drin ist und die Verschraubung am Verteilerkasten abdichtet.Ist hier nicht der Fall, aber da die Fläche plan ist, ist das bei mir trotzdem dicht.Wenn die Klemmfläche nicht plan ist, würde ich hier noch entsprechende O-Ringe noch nachträglich besorgen.

🔌 This is a set of different-size cable glands for domestic electrical work using unarmoured cable. The sizes supplied lend themselves to use in junction boxes where you need to drill a mounting hole. The gland size is helpfully embossed on the side. The gland is in four parts: the body with threads at both ends, a locking collar or sealing nut, a cable entry seal ring, and an entry collar. All these are in a hex pattern, so you can use a spanner to tighten them if required. There is no gasket provided between the gland body and whatever junction box you will be using, which is common for this type of gland.⚡ It is important to note that the cable entry is profiled for circular cable, as expected, and will only seal against that profile. You will need to match the gland size to the cable so that, when tightened down, the gland effectively seals against the cable's outer insulation. These glands are helpfully pitched in a variety of sizes to suit the cable, rather than standard junction box punch-out sizes. The M20 gland, for example, tightens to a measurement ID of just over 8.6 mm with some slight wrinkling, and so should be a great seal for 9 to 10 mm cable.⚙️ The only negative for me is that the white plastic didn’t look quite as good as some of the grey glands that I have used in the past. Other than that, these are quite good, with internal fingers that clamp down on the cable entry and the usual ring to tighten the gland to the box. I really like the great range of sizes included, and although I might not use the larger ones, the smaller ones are definitely going to come in handy for smaller cables where code requires all cables entering from a battery box to pass through a cable gland. ✔️
