I assumed this would be made of the material of a boat fender (since it looks like a boat fender), but it is made of hard plastic. Despite this, it does float, which is, of course, the whole point of boat key holder. Nice it comes with two just in case you have two boats!

As someone that spends a lot of time on the water, a floating keychain is a must. These appeared to be nice looking keychain floats, but I was skeptical of the size... my initial impression wasn't great, not only did these seem too small to provide sufficient buoyancy to float a typical ring of keys, but the hard plastic construction seems like it would be more prone to breakage/leakage than soft plastic.The product photo shows the float ~1/2 submerged, with by my count 5-6 keys + a FOB dangling below. I decided to fill up a 5 gallon bucket with water and put this to the test. My initial test with 6 keys sunk like a rock, as did subsequent tests removing keys one by one until I finally arrived at a floating configuration. As you can see in the attached photo, the total number of keys that this would float in the very calm waters of the bucket is TWO! It is also worth noting that these were two of the smallest keys I had and the float is ~3/4 submerged!Final verdict: I wouldn't trust this to float more than a single key in a real world scenario. Two small stars for the two small keys it did manage to (somewhat) float.
