I ordered these grill baskets because my old carbon steel ones had rusted out (again) and I needed new ones. When I saw these were made of stainless steel, I got them right away (please thank the genius that decided to upgrade the steel). I grill a lot and grill baskets are an essential tool for me. I use them to concentrate heat for rapid direct grilling (see pictures). I also use them to provide side directed heat for my rotisserie rig (see picture) or to set up an indirect grilling method. The old carbon steel ones have to be replaced every year or two due to rusting out. These stainless ones should last much longer. Another feature I like is that these baskets are made from a single piece of material that is folded into the basket shape. my old ones were made from two separate pieces of material that fit together using a tab and slot approach. Over time the tabs would wear out and the basket would fall apart. Not so with this new approach. I like that they are longer than my old ones (this should make them much better for use with the rotisserie. These baskets are awesome, and I expect to be using them for years to come. If that opinion changes, I will update this review.

The baskets help to disperse heat exactly where you want it while grilling. These get used a lot in our house & have held up well. Really easy to use & clean after use.
