I use this to keep my basement door ajar so that my cats can go downstairs, but my toddler can't. It is super easy to use, and works surprisingly well. I have it hooked around the back of the doorknob, and the little metal stud fits into the latch hole is the door. I appreciate that I am not sticking anything to the door or wall, so there is no damage. It is simple enough that my seven year old can easily latch and unlatch it when he needs to. Based on which side of the handle and which hole you put the stude into, there is a small amount of customization available for how wide the door is held ajar. I like it better than a strap because of the lack of adhesive and I don't have to worry about the door closing.

Om ni har små barn rekommenderar jag INTE denna produkt. Min tvååring lyckades stänga dörren när dörrstoppet var på vilket ledde till att vi båda två blev inlåsta i rummet. När dörren stängdes fungerade dörrstoppet som ett lås. Det kunde gått riktigt illa om min son låst in sig själv. Nu var jag i samma rum och lyckades till slut rycka upp dörren med våld. Orsakade dock skada på dörren.
