These sponge wands are great! Our community studio has a regular round sponge on the end of a stick but it is too large to get in and out of narrow top vessels without distorting the clay. These are just what I needed- the sponge is long and narrow. The telescoping handle is tight so there’s no worry of it collapsing as you’re using it. I use it mostly half extended and apply some pressure to the inside of my pots to expand the belly and the handle feels sturdy. I don’t think I will ever use it fully extended because holy cow that would be a very tall pot! The sponge head is absorbent and smooth for a nice finish. One thing I noticed was that if there isn’t enough slip and the sponge catches inside, it will spin on the handle and “walk” around the clay. I think this is a bonus. You get two wands for a great price- these are a great deal!

Works great no complaints

These sponge on stick throwing tools are great. This is well designed and a great size. It is great that these are adjustable for whatever hight you might be working at. These tools are great for also soaking up water in the bottom of a narrow form pot. The fact that you get 2 for this price is a bonus. Will keep these around the studio for others to use as well.
