30 Pieces for Daf and Frame Drum, Book one: A Progressive Approach for Solo or Drum Ensembles

Amir's book has become part of my music practice. This book builds on melodic phrases while increasing sight-reading skills with simple notation. The notes are helpful and easy to understand. The 30 exercises are divided into 3 sections and build in difficulty. I've been happily surprised at how quickly my precision and speed have increased. It's so easy to pick up this book and relax with some drumming. The rhythms have become meditative (to me). His beginner's class on YouTube has some helpful information, too. Highly recommended.

Great rhythms (and drum notes) for frame drum or daf. I love this book. I keep it on my coffee table so I pick up the drum and play spontaneously. Well organized book and beautiful music. Amir is a talented teacher and composer and now author.
