My husband ordered these plastic film canisters because I make sewing kits that are sent overseas to third-world countries and distributed to teenage girls. I am dependent on others who give me their empty glucose test strip containers, and more recently I have been running out of canisters. We have always found many different uses for film canisters, from sorting small screws, nuts, and bolts, to watertight storage of medicine on camping trips.I use canisters of this size for, pins, needles, and buttons. The tight lids help prevent accidental loss and keep younger siblings from tampering with the container. The lids for these film canisters are tighter than any canister I have used in the past, but they are still usable.Because I am accustomed to having a sufficient supply of canisters given to me for free, I thought the cost of the film canisters was high. When I started looking around I was surprised to see that people are still buying 35mm film, and the price of these film canisters are on the low end of the price scale.

Aunque parezca mentira, ya que no usamos casi nadie ya los carretes, estos botes son super útiles. Yo en particular los uso para guardar pequeñas cosas como las tarjetas SD y MicroSD que uso para fotografía.Caben un montón en cada bote y quedan perfectamente a salvo de golpes, humedades o suciedad (sobretodo cuando viajas).También guardo otros objetos pequeños que tienen tendencia a "perderse" para tener todo bien ordenado. Tengo uno con imperdibles, otro para los tornillos pequeños de electrónica, clavos de bricolaje pequeños, etc....mil utilidades en un sólo artículo.Con el precio que tienen y la durabilidad....son una compra segura, que te va a durar de por vida.Si te paras a pensar, fijo que tienes alguno de hace más de veinte o treinta años rodando por casa.

I used to use old film canisters to store things...until there are no film canisters to be had anymore. To get a chance to get a box of these, I just have so many uses for them.I work on diamond art, so these are great for the drills. Another one is for the tacks for my cork bulletin board. Yet another for some paperclips. The uses are endless. I just add a label to the canister, and everything is sorted and properly stored away.Seeing these made me very nostalgic!
