Premetto che non sono un professionista ma ho dovuto tagliare alcuni tubi in rame, di piccolo diametro (12 mm e poco più). Ho sempre usato il seghetto a mano per ferro ma questo semplice apparecchio è efficace e funziona decisamente bene. Sembrerebbe essere anche sufficientemente robusto, almeno per un uso hobbistico. Dopo alcune prove, ho scoperto che il modo migliore di usarlo, nel mio caso, non è girandolo attorno ai tubi ma appoggiandolo su di un piano per girare poi il tubo con entrambe le mani: in questo modo, si può facilmente tenere il tubo diritto e si fatica molto meno.

Dieser Scheider hat den großen Vorteil eines sehr geringen Platzbedarfs. Somit kann man möglicherweise auch Rohre schneiden, die an der Wand verlegt sind, um z.B. eine Reparatur auszuführen. Aber es ist ein wenig schwer, einen sauberen Schnitt hinzubekommen. Man muss mit dem richtigen Anfangsdruck starten und sicherstellen, dass beim Drehen des Schneiders dieser nicht aus der geraden Bahn gerät. Deshalb zwei bis drei Probeschnitte, um ein Gefühl für den richtigen Anfangsdruck zu bekommen. Ansonsten nach dem Schneiden nicht vergessen, den Innengrat zu entfernen. An der Außenkante sah der Grad eigentlich ganz gut aus, sollte aber auch vorsichtig entfernt werden.
