I bought this alongside a budget 12V PSU (as one is not included with this product). For anyone else looking, the "Pro Elec PEL00396 12V, 500 mA AC/DC Power Supply" works perfectly and it's only a little over £5.This little amplifier works really well with a condenser mic (I've got a small battery powered lapel mic). The two controls give mic amplification to the mic output, and with the cable supplied you can loop that output back to the audio input to add a second stage (the other gain control).I'm using this to drive an oscilloscope input for measuring audio pulses, for which it works perfectly even with just one stage.Very happy with it, for the price I had low expectations, but this is just magic.

Absolutely fantastic product, if u know what to use it for. I used it to amplify my mic.Remember u need to get ur own 12v dc power for this.

So upset as its title doesnt actually state you must buy the piwer supply cable omg

ok wanted it to boost signal from a parabolic reflector mic so that I could use it on a PA system. Have tried a number of mics and leads and computations cannot get any output signal out of the box and yes is has a clean 12v DC supply. All mics work fine on a hand held recorder Had hoped this would mean that I did not have to build my own from scratch but it looks like I will be back to the test bench.

Did exactly what I needed, and great value. Seems well built. Don't forget that it needs a 12v Power supply though.
