Just the right lenght, not too long !

Perfect for steel rims that have hub caps and need the valve protruding enough for tire checks and fill ups. Good solid plated brass. Will not corrode with winter salt. Not heavy enough to effect the balance of my tires- checked at highway speeds.

So much easier to do the motorhome tyre pressures.

I got some new wheel covers for my car but they partially blocked the valve stem making it harder to fill air in the tires and to even check tire pressure. I thought a set of valve stem extensions could help. I've attached some photos of the original valve stem being short and obstructed by the wheel cover. Then the extension showing how much it now sticks out which is better now. However, there is one big problem - I cannot fill air or check tire pressure because the nipple in the middle of the extension is not long enough to press the nipple of the original valve to allow air to either go in or come out.You'll see 2 other photos on my review showing the inside of the valve extension. One shows a red rubber o-ring that helps to create a better seal against the original valve but the problem is it too thick so it prevents the extension's nipple to press on the original valve. After removing the red o-ring it nows works better and I am able to check tire pressure and add air to my tires. I wish they would have used a much thinner gasket but I was able to figure out a solution - just hope it doesn't lead to any air leakage.
