Haven't had a chance to use these outdoors yet, but they seem very solid.Arrived in a good mesh carry case with a cinch at the top, which is a nice bonus!Its hard to see on any of the pictures, but the internals of each 'pulley' are a metal ratchet with a spring loaded metal pawl (the bit that catches on the ratchet). The action is smooth and feels strong.The plastic body is pretty thick and seems durable, 4 screws holding the two halves together. The carabiner (4mm thickness) is attached to a ~2mm thick metal pin, whilst obviously cheap these are sturdy and are certainly more than strong enough for the purpose. The rope is obviously a pretty bog standard low cost variety, but is certainly good enough and very good for the price.I don't think any of these components are going to break before your tent/tarp/whatever rips.I've pulled against the ratchet pretty hard and the rope didn't slip at all.I would strongly recommend as a quick, hassle-free way to get adjustable lines on a tent or tarp.
