I have a Rohloff gearbox on my fat bike, so the handlebar was fitted from new with foam bar grips, one of which was cut down to accommodate the Rohloff twist-action gear shifter. The original ones had become damaged and torn at the the ends due to laying the bike down on rough ground or leaning it against rough surfaces. So I needed new ones. The JarKuen ones seemed very cheap so I gave them a try.They fitted pretty easily, one full length one on the left, and a cut-down one on the right to fit outboard of the twist shifter. I used a bit of industrial alcohol to wet the bar and then quickly slid the grips on. The alcohol soon dried out to leave the grips fixed firmly in place.They are very comfortable to ride with and give some hand damping against rough ground. I actually now prefer them to regular lock-on grips. The only downside is that they are not very tough, and have already started to tear up a bit at the ends. Maybe I should be more careful where I lean the bike, but you don't always have a good place to lean a bike when off-road. But at this price, it's not really an issue. I can afford to replace them every couple of years - it's probably the cheapest bit of regular maintenance on the bike. Good value and very comfortable indeed.
