I have played this handpan for about 3 months, about every day. With my experiences and teacher input so far I can say that the handpan is, for the money, not that bad at all. It is relatively in tune, but it's doubtful it will remain as such for more than a year.It is recommended to start learning on a proper handpan immediately and I 100% agree with this since it's responsiveness and stability is... what you would expect for a 200 euro handpan with the median handmade "good handpan" starting around the 1500 euro range.Having said that, and having ordered a better handpan, I do feel it was worth the money and I do not regret it whatsoever due to the simple fact it is an instrument that is playable (with beginner techniques), relatively cheap and gives you a good idea whether you like the instrument enough to throw down a lot of money into it. Without this pan, I wouldn't even have tried. Sidenote: the color of the handpan I got is just plain gray metal, so keep in mind the color may not be what you ordered/expected.So if you are not entirely sure you want to play the handpan and are looking to try it out for a period (and have no possibilities to borrow/rent it for a longer term) or simply do not have the financial means to rent/buy a good pan, then I do recommend it!If you are a beginner, I do recommend the following:- Find a online course that suits your style! They give good structure to your development and proper lesson materials to work with. "MasterTheHandpan" is great for beginners who want some serious structure to work with, which I tried for a while. "Handpandojo" is seemingly better for people with more (theoretical) knowledge of music, both monthly subscriptions. The "Malte Marten Method" is one-time fee and is my favourite so far, but quite a investment in one go.- Find a teacher for once a week, even for a short 45 minutes or so, to get your questions answered and technique checked. It's easy to learn mistakes by accident, which are very hard to get rid of later. In person is best, but online works well! Someone in your native/mastered language is usually best.- For people with short legs, like me, get a footrest classical guitar players use. I have one from Hercules Stands.- Don't forget to find a warming up exercise that works for you! It sounds silly, but you will prevent a lot of hurt in the future if you practise a lot.

Erg blij met deze handpan. De handpan was binnen 5 dagen bij mij in Nederland. Keurig compleet met standaard, tas en stokjes. De klanken zijn erg mooi. Ik weet niet hoe een duurdere handpan klinkt, maar voor mij als beginner is dit meer dan goed om op te beginnen. Ik ga hem gebruiken voor yoga en meditatie. Er kwamen ook geen extra kosten bij. Bedankt voor de snelle service!
