Good product, it has a screw/clamp fitting, it comes with a fuse and 2 reserve fuses.I connected it to my motorbike wiring. It's by default off, with the little button you turn it on and it shows the Voltage. The cap has a peephole in it, so when closed you can still see it. Try to charge my iphone and it works well of the 12V of my bike.I ended up not installing it, as the hole size need it 27-29 mm and I did not find a nice spot where I could fit it (too big). So I ended up choosing a different solution in the end. But that's my issue, nothing to do with the product itself :-)

It’s a nice socket to replace standard 12V in your car, but the very annoying thing is that it turns on automatically every time you turn on the car, making the presence of the on/off switch useless.

Handige USB lader met spanningsinfo. Degelijk gebouwd met goede contacten, het dekseltje sluit netjes af en is een beetje transparant. Zit zelfs een aan-uit knopje op.Enige puntje was dat de moer ruim op de schroefdraad loopt, maar voldoende om het vast te maken.

When wired directly to the battery (via the included fuse) the power switch allows the USB charger to be powered off so it doesn't drain the battery.When wired to the accessory switched circuit that only operates when the ignition key is the ON or ACCESSORY position, the power switch can still be used to turn the USB charger on or off, but the smart USB charger remembers its previous state when the power is applied the next time. This is a huge advantage. I wanted the USB charger to come on with the ignition and turn off with the ignition, and that's exactly what it does. I turn it on once and it remembers that when the power is cycled. I didn't want to be forced to turn the USB charger on every time I turned the key in the ignition.Despite being an electrical engineer, I somehow managed to wire the USB charger in the opposite polarity when testing it prior to installation. Derp. It didn't work, but it survived my temporary stupidity. There must be a diode to protect the USB charger from ham fisted dufus mechanics. That's exactly as it should be, but sometimes manufacturers cut costs and eliminate protective devices. This is apparently a robust and durable design.The voltage reading is specified to be within .2 V of the actual voltage, and my USB charger agreed with another meter, to within at least .1 V.The only small complaint would be the slow refresh rate on the multiplexed LED voltage display. It looks fine when stationary but on a motorcycle or other vehicle with significant vibration, the numbers will appear blurry.

Heb er nu 2 gekocht in voor in mijn auto en een voor te kamperen. Laat mijn telefoon snel op. Echt een aanrader als je nog geen snellader hebt.
