Great product works well

I was Looking for somethingthat would allow me to hook my streaming deviceto the PC in the other roomso I could watch NetFlix or other servicesI had my RoKu hooked to my monitors HDMI portwhich worked wellbut changing inputs was kind of a pain(in the You know where)because it would change my PCs resolutionresizing and moving all my windowswhen I changed the input back to PCthis works much betterbecause I can just open streaming box in a WindowOther things to Know:it doesn't come with Software...(but windows already has the Drivers)I tried a few thingsVLC worked okay but it wouldn't really go full screen 16:9it only want to run it in old school 4:3 TV modeI also tried to open it in a browser tab(which was a little over my head)same problem... 4:3 TV RatioI'm sure you can probably run it in Any software that will open a webcamyou just have Select the source as... It works, but it’s neither 1080p nor is it lag free. Somewhere between 720p and 1080p. Media looks a little fuzzy (see screenshot) and isn’t exactly lag free. I wanted to use this with the Orion/MoniCon App on iPad alongside my Raspberry Pi. It works well enough for the occasional use I needed it for, but I would definitely encourage you to think twice before purchasing. If you’d like it just to actually record something and not view it live, I’m sure the lag isn’t a concern, but the fuzziness might be an issue.

My son used this to run a dvd player through his phone. That was pretty cool. He uses it for something more reasonable on his computer and says it works well on whatever that thing is.
