These amber vials are exactly as described - they are 20 mm diameter, and 32 mm tall without the cap. They hold 5mL of liquid comfortably.The self-healing rubber caps fit snugly inside the rim, however I cannot comment on the quality or sealability of the aluminum crimp caps, as the set does not come with the needed bottle crimper.For our uses, the self-healing rubber septum will do, but if you need the additional crimped cap, you will have to purchase the crimper. The top does seem to remove easily to expose the septum.The bottles are thick, and will work well in a lab setting for preserving light-sensitive or air-sensitive samples.
