Bought this to make a float switch to stop me from over filling a bucket while making my R/O water for my fish tank, it's very easy to forget a bucket is slowly filling up. You can change the ring floats orientation so it makes the contact when filling or emptying, which can be useful. If I remember you get 6 of them, so they will last for years.
