These are awesome. Maybe not everyone will see the use for them but I certainly do. these will allow you to cut all the way up to an opposing surface , so for example, I am a cabinet installer and sometimes I need to cut a cabinet down in depth and to do so I need to be able to cut RIGHT up to the side of a cabinet in order to remove material . a regular jig saw/saber saw blade whatever you want to call it will only allow you to cut as far as the footplate allows so you have like 3/4" left uncut that you need to find some way to finish. usually ill pull out an occilating tool and finish the cut off but it can get a little wonky doing that. with this blade you can cut PAST the foot plate of your jigsaw just enough to finish a flush cut. Sorry if this was way too much info I am just very happy to have found this because for me it is something I will use very often.
