I highly recommend this solution to a broken lock cylinder but you do need some more than basic mechanical skills, and an allen or hex key bit set or long handle allen keys to release rhe assembly from the door. Youll also need a pocket screwdriver and needle nose pliers and some decent manual dexterity to assemble and not to lose the tiny parts. I own an auto repair shop and have been a technician most of my life so it was a breeze for me and a huge savings to fix the door lock on my personal vehicle. I would highly recommend it but I would make sure you watch a video or two on YouTube to get familiar with the process and be very careful on not losing the tiny parts. Recommend!

Too tight on the lock barrel, meaning that when you try to fit it breaks the casting and therefore deems it useless.
