I enjoy using this portafilter on my Breville Express Impress (BES876) Machine. It has a slightly longer handle (by approx. 2cm) than the spouted portafilter supplied by Breville and comes in at a weight of 374g compared to 447g for the spouted.It is well machined and looks more up-market than the Breville supplied portafilter. Initial fit felt a little tight, however after a couple of uses it just seats in nicely and does it's job perfectly. There is no conflict or issues when using this with the grinder section on my machine, so it can be used for auto dosing or manual prep.Overall a nice looking portafilter that is a good purchase for someone that wants to get a bottomless portafilter to use with there machine.

This paired up with an IMS competition filter is definitely the way to go.

I tested this portafilter on a Breville Barista Pro (8 series) and found the overall quality to be decent. The handle is longer and slimmer compared to the spouted portafilter that comes with the machine. It's well-machined, polished, and looks great. Without the collar, it works as expected for a bottomless portafilter, fitting nicely into the group head and performing reliably.The main downside is when using the collar for grinding. The design causes the central collar ear to sit between the 10 and 11 o'clock positions. This means I can't keep the portafilter aligned straight in front of the grinder button to activate it. Instead, I have to rotate it slightly to the left, which is inconvenient. Another issue is that the portafilter doesn't lock into the collar. It falls off immediately when hanging on the grinder cradle, making grinding frustrating.While it works without the collar, the poor grinding experience with the collar is a significant drawback.Weight specifications:Total weight: 375.2 g- Metal filter: 197.4 g- Handle: 177.8 gOverall, it's an okay option if you're not relying heavily on the collar for grinding, but it's far from perfect.
