They are small to soft for blendingoil pastels

Sanding down blending stumps can be a bit of a pain. These blending tools do the job without the sanding, which is nice. I like these tools, and I find myself reaching for them over the stumps.There are a couple of things to be careful about, though. The white end is felt, and it's pretty rough. If you're using paper, be gentle. It blends, but it's not a smooth as the black. It's more of a textured blend. In the picture I posted, I used the white end on the darker shades. I don't know if you can see it, but it's got a bit of a rough look.I prefer the black spongy end for a very smooth blend, but it tends to pick up a lot of graphite. Sometimes too much, and I have to go back over and darken areas. Sometimes, I just use the residue in the tool to fill in light shading. In the photo, you can see four strips just made from the spongy tip after use. It's enough that sometimes I have to go back with a kneaded eraser and lighten up places I've shaded. You can create some dreamy effects because of this, though.Cleaning the spongy side is easy, but it's black, so how do I know it's really clean until I use it? The felt side doesn't stay white. I have yet to find a way to clean it back to white, but it does go back to the point where it doesn't leave streaks anymore, so I guess it's clean enough.As with anything new, it's an adjustment. But as I said above, I find myself reaching for these over blending stumps. I like them much better. They also travel well. Overall, it's a good, useful product, and they seem well made. I'm happy with them.

Die Radierstifte kommen in Plastik, zu viel davon.Sie selber sind ok verarbeitet. Recht leicht und etwas wackelig.Sie haben jeweils zwei Seiten in verschiedenen Größen. Die weiße Seite ist etwas rauer, die schwarze weicher. Zum Blenden von Bleistiftzeichnungen ist die schwarze Seite angenehmer, sie kratzt nicht übers Papier und sorgt für schöne, smoothe Verblendungen. Ich hab das vorher immer mit den Fingern gemacht, aber dann auch gern mal beim Weiterzeichnen überall Farbe verteilt, wo sie nicht hinsollte. Nutzt mensch verschiedene Farben, sollten die Flächen vor dem Wechsel einmal abgewischt werden.Insgesamt sind die Stifte in Ordnung. Nicht herausragend, dafür aber im Preis angemessen.

I used these blenders on a mixed media drawing in my art journal. I tried them out with my Jane Davenport pastel palettes and with a few of my pan pastels. I really liked them and thought they did a good job blending. I think I liked the sponge side the best and it was easy to clean. I used a baby wipe to clean the sponge side and that worked fine. I think I will mostly use these with the Jane Davenport pastel palettes because they were perfect for that. These are really nice, and I would order them again.

Da meine Enkelin sehr kreativ mit Graphit und Bleistiften zeichnet, habe ich ihr dieses Set betellt.Es besteht aus jeweils drei doppelköpfigen Radier-Pens. Die Verarbeitung ist recht ordentlich. Dieses Set verspricht, dass sie damit gezielter als bisher ihre Zeichnungen herausarbeiten kann. Da es mir als künstlerischen Laien nicht zusteht über die Anwendung, bzw. die Funktion zu Bewerten, freue ich mich auf das Ergebnis meiner Enkeltochter und werde später noch darüber berichten.
