They are very functional, durable and have a great amount of stretch. I like that no one can see them because they are on the inside of the waistband. When the button is pushed through the button hole of the waistband tightener it stays in place. There is little to no bunching of the waistband, like there is when I use a belt.

Sew the edge of the elastic into the band of your pants - then sew the button in the band at a spot that once the button is in the elastic it will tighten your pants - TADA!
