  • JAREN VAN ONDERZOEK EN ONTWIKKELING - Na jarenlang ontwerpen en testen van paraplu’s, begrijpen we alles wat een geweldige, duurzame, windbestendige paraplu maakt. Er zijn vier zeer belangrijke factoren waar u op moet letten. 1) EEN sterk FRAME MET GLASVEZEL 2) EEN sterk PARAPLU SCHERM DIE GROOT GENOEG IS OM U TE BEDEKKEN, 3) EEN AUTOMATISCH MECHANISME DAT EENHANDIGE BEDIENING TOEGLAAT en 4) UITZONDERLIJKE KLANTENSERVICE WAAR U OP KUNT VERTROUWEN. We onderzoeken deze factoren hieronder.
  • 1) EEN sterk GLASVEZELFRAME - Onze unieke paraplu's zijn sterk omdat we alleen gebruik maken van superieure componenten en zeer bekwame technici. Zelfs als windstoten 95 km/u bereiken, laat ons ontwerp de paraplu binnenstebuiten klappen om de druk van de wind te reguleren. Daarna keren onze glasvezelbaleinen KEER OP KEER terug naar hun oorspronkelijke positie. Dit is wat "winddicht" betekent; neem nooit genoegen met minder. Elke balein en spanner zijn zo Ontworpen om u BETROUWBAARHEID te geven.
  • 2) EEN STERK PARAPLU - Deze paraplu heeft een GEVENTILEERD DUBBEL SCHERM. Twee overlappende paraplu schermen hebben ventilatieopeningen waardoor windstoten door de paraplu heen kunnen gaan, hierdoor wordt het risico dat de paraplu ombuigt sterk verminderd. We gebruiken alleen HOGE KWALITEIT, WATERDICHTE STOFFEN die sterk, lichtgewicht en flexibel zijn, zodat ze in harmonie met het frame werken. In geopende toestand heeft het scherm een ruime boog van 134 cm en een diameter van 110 cm.
  • 3) AUTOMATISCH MECHANISME - Deze paraplu gaat automatisch open, zodat u binnen enkele seconden op een stortbui kunt reageren. Het mooie van een automatisch mechanisme is dat je de paraplu met één hand kunt openen, erg belangrijk als elke seconde telt en je een half dozijn boodschappentassen bij je hebt! In gesloten toestand meet de paraplu 96 cm vanaf de top tot en met het handvat.

Umbrella seems very strong. I have used it 2 times already and no problems. I think it is a good value for the money. I was tired of cheap umbrellas that I had to keep throwing away. Save yourself a headache and just get a good one like this.

I wanted an umbrella that (a) would stand up to wind, (b) would actually cover me in the rain, and most importantly, (c) that I would be unlikely to lose on the train. This one fits the bill in every way. Zero problems with wind (no issues with wires suddenly poking out or bending with the slightest gust of wind), wonderful but not-too-big coverage (I can still easily navigate busy London pavements), and the bright red helps to ensure that I SEE the umbrella and remember to pick it up when leaving the train or a meeting, whilst not being too gaudy. In fact, I have unexpectedly had a number of compliments on the umbrella as a kind of positive fashion statement. Interestingly, this has come from both genders. Who knew that men were so intrigued by umbrellas? Also, it is sometimes the little details that can make for small joys. There are two particular things that I didn't realise I'd like so much about an umbrella - on this umbrella I love the sturdy, smooth feel of the wooden handle, and I love the texture of the material for the umbrella. This probably seems a tad ridiculous, but it's actually really nice to accidentally brush against something and to feel its quality, relative to just another plastic-y umbrella covering. I highly recommend this umbrella.

The length of the one I bought was perfect for me and having used it recently in the rain and relatively strong winds, it seemed to hold up very well where other, smaller umbrellas or ones without the vents that this has, would fold in on themselves. I'm not sure whether it will stay that way forever but I will be testing it out more in time to come as the weather is getting poo again now. I'm amazed by an umbrella that filters the wind so that it doesn't break or fold out. On my last one which was similar to this but a different brand, the ribs at the tip of the canopy would come out often, leaving it floppy. I don't seem to get that with this one. Or with smaller umbrellas, sometimes the stretchers would break which also doesn't seem to be an issue here. The reason I gave 'sturdiness' 4 out of 5 stars is because the light-brown, wooden handle can get scratched/dented and looks like it could snap quite easily. There was a hairline fracture on mine when I bought it and I don't think the wood they use is tough/thick enough to withstand a lot. My previous umbrella had a stronger wooden handle. But hopefully it'll last and the hairline fracture won't become a split in the wood. The design is brilliant though and it seems to do what it was intended, which is withstand wind and keep you dry of course! I would definitely recommend it as it completely covers me (I am 6ft 2 with wide shoulders) with enough room for someone else to share. The 'Collars and Cuffs London' embossing on the wooden handle adds a nice, classy touch to it in my opinion, makes it feel slightly more prestigious and stands out. I don't think £25 is really breaking the bank either for a large, strong umbrella. Great buy.
