This potato ricer works very well for making mashed potatoes. I have kind of weak wrists and I was able to easily mash the boiled potatoes through. I cut my russet potatoes in quarters and I can fit all 4 quarters into the ricer in one go, so it's pretty big.It was a little more difficult for unpeeled potatoes as the skins can get stuck and clog up the holes. I'd recommend either always peeling your potatoes or clearing out the skins between each potato group.I always rinse cookware after using it, so for me the cleanup was really easy.
