I got this camo colored EVA pad to use as knee padding in my canoe - easing the pressure on my joints when a rocky rapids has me on my knees to lower my center of gravity and increase stability of the canoe. Originally, I was planning on using a strip of Abahub's "faux teak" decking which is linearly grooved to simulate planks. I already had a piece of that and was impressed with it, but when I saw this camo pattern, which matches both the green outside and tan inside of my Royalex plastic canoe, I had to try it out. Like other Adahub decking, the adhesive is great. Plan ahead because once it's on, "it is where it is," as they say.Not entirely obvious to me, was the profile of the decking. I think it's the camo pattern that somehow fooled my eye into thinking that it was the diagonal cross hatching that was raised. In reality, it is the diamonds that are raised and separated by cross-hatched grooves. In spite of what you might surmise by the "V grooves" labelled in one of the product graphics, the edges of the diamonds are not in any way beveled. The diamond points are, well, pointy. The "grooves", if you want to call them that, are "dado" cut, meaning parallel vertical walls without beveling to soften the edges.I was concerned that the resulting aggressive diamond tread might be uncomfortable to stand on barefoot, or to kneel on, but that didn't turn out to be the case. The diamonds are sufficiently squishy that I didn't feel them.I still would have preferred that the groves were actually "V" cut, or at least beveled with a roundover bit. The way they are I think it's much more likely that they might catch the tread of a sneaker or aqua shoe, impeding the fast footwork that is sometimes critical to board sports. I also think that they are more likely to hold onto dirt and mud, and that the diamond points will wear quickly.

A couple years ago I bought some of this EVA boat decking from another seller for the deck I built for my 9’ pontoon boat for fishing. It came unstuck in a day and was worthless. This time it is 100% better from the seller I got this from. Sticks like it’s welded on. Zero issues other than my crappy cutting skills around the cutouts.I used pieces from 2 different sellers and both are awesome. Stick like there’s no tomorrow. Both are thick and with good grip.These are stuck to marine plywood that was some house paint in it. No prep was done other than running a clean rag over it.Install is easy, the foam is easily cut. It comes rolled up so be prepared to have something to lay in it for cutting. I used a couple dumbbells. Cut great, backing peels off very easily. My application was as easy as it comes, applying this to a boat deck would take some skill, none of which has anything to do with the product other than….will it stick, I believe it will.The one main thing that is expected from something like this is, does it stick? In my application it sure does. I just went down to snap a couple pics and nowhere, not even the corner edges is it comping loose. Only been 3 days but the other stuff I got was laying on the floor curled up after 1 day. I’d buy again 100%This stuff looks great! Can’t wait to get the boat on the water.

I used this for padding in a dog kennel. It adhered well, and looks like it will last. It smelled awful when i first opened it, but the smell dissipates in a day. I left it unrolled for a couple days under a heavy rug, and then it laid flat.

We love this EVA foam flooring panel especially in this really cool camouflage colour adhesive grips so well and this looks great in our outdoor gym/patio. We appreciate this because it gets wet back here and the EVA foam is great at wicking water away. I’d recommend it’s not only for boating/surfing but also for anywhere where there is always seem to be water around like we have in our backyard which barely gets any sun. This easily gets five stars from us!

This was one of my first orders for boat flooring, and it is exactly as described. The material appears to be very sturdy and looks just like the photos. The adhesive backing adheres very well, and the texture makes it ideal for a non-slip surface. I’m discovering multiple uses for this product. We added it to our canoe seats and floor for extra cushioning and traction. I’m also using it to line the walls of a small walk-in closet/workspace to provide some soundproofing.
