I drive a 2022 Toyota Corolla Hatchback and I have 4 small dogs. Recently when I moved across states, I needed to utilize cargo space. I couldn’t afford getting a tow hitch and trailer, so for a small amount I added valuable extra space on top. The hooks worked just fine, but the rubber pad they send to keep the carrier in place was 100% INEFFECTIVE. That wasn’t so bad though, as the hooks did a great job. But definitely would work better with roof racks. However if you don’t have them, perhaps some extra bungees. I didn’t even fill mine to capacity, but it holds a lot! And it’s made of super strong plastic/rubber. The top is zippered and then the top lays over the zippers with Velcro. Very secure. Waterproof as well. I drive really fast and my cargo only moved to the back of my roof but stayed secure! I even had 2 sawhorses in it with my other boxes. Good product and I recommend!
