Habe mir das Kabel für meine Hifimänner geholt, da ich meine Kopfhörer unbedingt symmetrisch mit Pentaconn 4mm anschließen wollte. Die Beipackkabel sind leider nur zu oft ein schlechter Witz. Selbst dem Organic liegt nur ein unbalanced bei, was zudem noch viel zu kurz ist für meinen Geschmack. Hifiman sollte sich diesbzgl. ruhig etwas mehr anstrengen.Nun denn, das gekaufte Kabel erfüllt seinen Zweck und tut, was es soll. Es sieht recht hochwertig aus, hat mit "Kabel-Voodoo" nichts am Hut: für den Preis meine absolute Empfehlung!

It's important to note that this headphone lead has a BALANCED connector - this is not the same as the standard 3.5mm (small) or 6.35mm (large) headphone sockets found on most devices. The balanced plug looks similar but is not compatible with either of the standard sockets.This cable is stated to work with headphones from HifiMan but as the connection to the headphones is a 3.5mm jack I wanted to see if it would work with my Sony MDRZ7M2 'phones. These are supplied with both balanced and standard leads but the balanced one is a measly 3ft long. The good news is that the cable is compatible, with one exception. The Sony lead is secured by the jack and also a retaining screw. This lead has only the jack so would be susceptible to being pulled out if you trod on the cable by mistake. Still, the additional 2 metres of this lead is what I wanted.In terms of build quality, there is a walnut wood effect around the balanced connection and at the Y where the earpiece splits between L and R channels. There is a soft braided sheaf to the cable that has a retro hifi vibe to it that I found attractive. I didn't notice any difference in sound between this and the standard Sony lead when connected to the balanced output of my Sony NW-ZX300 hi-res Walkman.In terms of cost, it is quite expensive but that's down to the silver plating on the copper cabling. There aren't many of these cables around though so you're not exactly spoilt for choice if you need a replacement.
