Superior High Security. Very high quality. Has 3/16 " x 5" bolts, nuts and backing plates. The lock goes into a 3/8" thick hasp. It is worth the price if you want a superior high security hasp this is the one. Very easy to install.

Was suitably pleased with this purchase. It was an Amazon "Used" buy and the packaging was slightly damaged but the item was unmarked and completely as new and it was extremely well priced. Not a difficult thing to install provided you get your measuring right and have the right tools ( correct drill bits etc). You do have to fit the two components accurately as there isn't a lot of clearance between the fixed staple and the hole in the hinged section but if you elongate the holes that you drill slightly (horizontally) then you can adjust the width a tad and you do get a bit of play available to you before final tightening of the bolts.No disputing the strength aspect... it's a beast indeed. It comes with 6 countersunk coach allen key bolts but if you have a particularly deep jamb you can use three of your own, longer, countersunk bolts or if they're not long enough (they're available up to 160mm) then you'll have to buy even longer M8 coach bolts (you do need to grind off the "square" section under the bolt head a bit, but that's easy). It's best to drill the hole (8mm) from both sides and meet in the middle, that way the holes will line up. The only problem in using your own coach bolts is the heads are generally of a "domed" profile and the dome does prevent the closing section of the hasp from sitting flush and that limits the type of padlock that will fit (see below re. the closed shackle Squire padlock).I used it with a Squire Stronghold SS50 CLOSED SHACKLE combination lock and it's a tight fit. With an OPEN SHACKLE padlock it would be a looser fit, and would be OK. I would think most generally available padlocks would fit providing the shackle isn't hugely wide. Just be extra careful if using some closed shackle padlocks.In summary, it's a good, well made, item which if fitted accurately and securely will act as a good visual and actual deterrent.Recommended.

Ce "loquet" peut-être utilisé pour des portes (de camionette également ?) mais moi je voulais protéger une porte basculante (ou semi-basculante) de garage.Les boulons fournis ne sont pas du tout adapté à cet usage : de longs boulons d'une douzaine de centimétres et d'un cm de diamétre environ, pour des portes sans doutes).Pour le sol il faut "buriner" le sol pour enfoncer la partie à fixer car sinon la porte basculante est génée par l'épaisseur et par la charnière qui est encore plus saillante. Aucune indication, même sur le site. Il faut creuser de 5 à 10 mm, ce qui peut prendre 1 h à la main, moins au burineur...Il faut prévoir 3 chevilles, 3 vis pour ces chevilles dans le sol et 3 boulons avec écrous (voir 2 écrous).Tête fraisée pour les boulons. Tous les écrous sont cachés, donc pas d'autres précautions à prendre.
