The screw doesn’t tighten the clamp as it is supposed to , the only option to make it useable is to put the band through the clasp to the size that you want , And then put the screw in to hold it in place , Not happy about this purchase .

select a size up. An 8" ring isn't necessarily going to fit an 8" line. I was connecting HVAC ducts and found the shape and insulation was enough to make the rings not really fit. Most a/c type products are sold as a size so you can easily match items (e.g. air ducts being sold at dimension of the hole rather than the actual measurement of the duct itself. For this reason i assumed 8" rings would fit 8" ducts. They left no excess at all to loosen over the 8" duct. If you choose one size up, it may be easier to install.

As stated these clamps are good, but could be better as the very small Phillips head screw is very easy to strip out and the metal is relatively soft. Not a huge deal as long as you use a nut driver or small socket to tighten and adjust.

Just what I wanted. For some reason the microwave vented into an 8" discharge which for some reason led to the attic. The roof vent was just slightly misaligned. Flex tube clamped to both with the provided worm great clamps. Now cooking bacon doesn't scent the attic and the rest of the house.
