It gives some piece of mind in case my buddy or I becomes entangled in nets or fishing or shot lines.I got it as a back up to my knife - should I drop the knife or not be able to reach it.The pros are - it's cheap and - surprise surprise it comes with spare blades. On testing it cut through nylon rope and 1mm steel wire relatively easily.However I was disappointed at how quickly the first blade rusted after just 2-3 dives (despite religously washing all my gear after diving). I also considered that hanging it off a chest D ring on my BCD - where it's readily accessible- presented another risk. That is when hauling gear into or out of the boat it could nick or cut my gear webbing.So the mods...MOD 1 - I replaced the initial rusty blade with a fresh one coated in Vaseline - that seems to work nicely. I've dived 4 -5 times since and there's no sign of rust.MOD 2 - I saved a cork from an empty bottle of brandy (another personal weakness exposed) and it fit perfectly snugly into the mouth of the cutter. The cork is snug but easily removable. That eliminates the risk of damaging any gear.

Hat einen guten Eindruck gemacht. Ich fand ihn zu "wuchtig" um ihn einen Platz an meinem Jacket zu finden. Ich habe mich für ein kleineres Modell entschieden.
