Does what it says on the tin...very well. Offers a sharp tone which importantly carries much further than voice alone. I use to think I would never use a whistle but our dog loves to run the horizon and shouting isn't my thing. After watching a few professional training videos I reluctantly gave one a try. Used with a lanyard I wouldn't leave for a walk without it....in fact we now have two

I bought this whistle to recall my dog when we go for hikes into the woods. It works great, my dog hears it from very far away. The whistle has a very loud noise without being annoying. It's very small and light. It's easy to carry on your keychain or hooked on your coat's zipper. I personally already had a necklace made to hook a whistle on it. I love it, would definitely recommend for dog recall.
