Box was a bit tacky and a cable in package was tied with masking tape suggesting I’d received a return, however product appeared okay.As for the HW kit itself, it’s working exactly as I expected and took about 1/2 hour to install.I already had the EvoHome in place controlling my central heating. I also had a Honeywell ST9400 programmable CH/HW controller still in place. CH was always let on continuous (as EvoHome dealt with scheduling and power toggling). It was only used to turn my HW on/off. That was up until a couple of days ago when it decided to stop working.Rather than pay £100 out for a new ST9400, I decided to purchase this kit instead and let the EvoHome control my HW as well.I simply removed the old programmable

It's a boiler temperature sensor and a relay in one box, for less than they might cost separately. You'll need both if you have an S or Y plan heating system, as well as the base kit which has enough to control the heating but not hot water. It also contains instructions, including suggested wiring diagrams. I'm competent at dealing with mains electricity (always isolate what you're working on!) but having the diagram helped me have confidence in what I was doing, without changing any existing wiring beyond removing the seven day timer that was in the house before. And unless you have a really weird setup, you shouldn't need to change how anything is wired except for replacing the timer.

Love the technology, and can see it bringing great fuel savings but will have to wait and see. Small issues I had are.1. The honeywell instructions, whilst good did fail in the troubleshooting, and had to phone support in the end, however I could t falt their support within 24 hours all issues resolved. And it came mainly down to not understanding jow the system works by not coming on if temp is within X degrees.2. There was no easy place to put the sensor on my tank and ended up strapping it to the outlet pipes, which for the most part works.

Great to have hot water temperature on my phone. Easy to install if you have space to fix it near your hot water cylinder. Instructions to set up with evotouch controller ok , but not totally clear.

If you've invested in EvoHome and still have an old (non-combi) boiler that you have not replaced yet - you may want to invest in the hot water controller here. You're effectively replacing the programmer + L641 - though not that you should *leave* the old L641 in series with the hot water kit (set 10degress or so higher) so that when EvoHome misses the hot water update the (unvented) cylinder does not blow and destroys your house.- The replacement sensor is just a piece of plastic with a sensor in it - breath upon it and it will crack.- CS92 is notorious for being unreliable and ensure you don't mount it anywhere near the BDR91(s), the pump, valve(s) nor insertion heater or kiss updates goodbye.- You are likely familiar with the BDR91 and here you get yet another one. As per above don't mount it anywhere near (min 30cm+) the other BDR91.Note that you can get the "connected" sensor T8674A and BDR91 (or you have one already) for pretty cheap on auction sites (new) but not the CS92 so you can build this kit for 1/3-1/2 the cost - so you're effectively paying for the box. Not to mention mine came destroyed (return?) in a perfect AZ box so perhaps somebody played football with it in the warehouse. Not that reliability can get worse... ;)
