As another buyer spotted this works well with Asus EEEs , some modifications are needed btw, not a fault of this adapter, it is a problem because of the restricted space inside the case of EEEs (or whatever laptop/netbook you are going to use). I took a pic of what I did (on EEE 901) so the adapter's upper screws wont come in contact -so cause a short circuit- with the metal shield of the bottom cover.Again, as other noted: the internal SSD will be disabled after the installation of this adapter, you will see the error "press F1 to continue" as the primary SSD is not detected, not a big deal anyway as it can be resolved by creating a new 8MB partition as type "EF" (EFI) , this will activate the option "Boot Booster" on the BIOS, and should be "Enabled" to bypass the annoying "F1" message.

The product is described as being for the eeePC 1000, bit it seems that the manufacturers didn't actually test it. It works, but only if you modify the drive/RAM cover of the computer. A layer of insulating tape is needed, else the height of the adapter plus drive causes the drive to contact the metal inside of the case and short out. Also, a plastic pin must be cut off the case to allow it to (mostly) shut, however, there is still a small bulge near where the socket on the adapter card is, as it is around a millimetre higher than the edge of the case.Having said that, the card does do its job in that I can now use a modern mSATA SSD to replace the failed one that the netbook originally came with.NB: Using this adapter seems to disable the secondary SSD in the computer, though that isn't going to be a concern to the vast majority of people.
