I bought this for my 12 year old who plays hockey. He said it was really comfortable, it did not bother him at all. Although he was sweaty, but it did not irritates him nor it made him feel sticky or hot around his neck.There is a special bendable piece insert that you can adjust the curve to fit your neck better. I like how it is machine washable after removing the insert. It may be a bit pricier comparing to other ones but I think it is definitely worth it.

Gibt keine Einbußen im Tragekomfort im Vergleich zu herkömmlichen Eishockey Halsschutz, das Material ist sehr angenehm auf der Haut und das schlagabsorbierende Innenteil ist sehr leicht.

This was bought for a very physical player.For the record this is an expensive product. However based on experience it is more than worth it at twice the price.The story goes like this:One day after getting hit in the neck with the but end of a stick we looked for something better that the standard cut protection that neck guards typically offer.A few months later, wondering if we had wasted our money she was hit in the neck by a shot on goal. This was shot from a 14 year old elite or semi-elite player so it was a hard shot.The kid had a sore neck, some issues speaking for a day or two, but she never left the ice. Did not miss a single shift and had no serious injury.In my opinion with a normal guard she would have been out for the game, and most likely on her way to the emergency room.As a parent I consider this to be one of the best investments I ever made.

Bought this for my 11 yr old who plays select hockey since neck protection is now a requirement. He said its very comfortable and lightweight and has no complaints so far. I have also taken out the insert and washed it in the washing machine (inside a garment bag) and it seems to be holding out well through the first 4 months of use.

This neck protector is very soft, and pliable. But the D3O foam inside adds a level of protection that can't be beat. If you've been having difficulty finding a good neck guard, I highly recommend trying this one.
