I have been using LG TVs for about ten years now and , whilst I really do like the TV, I am not a great fan of the remote. One of the problems is that I watch movies in blackout conditions and the remote isn't backlit. I often find myself wanting to access the main menu and just find the button difficult to pin down and often end up pressing the Input Selection button instead. It just seems easier to find from my natural position of holding the remote.This replacement remote has the menu button at top right of the central ring and the input button at bottom right of the ring. I just find that suits me better and the days of being taken to the wrong screen are over . That was all the change that I wanted from the remote. I switch on, select volume if appropriate, access the menu for motion and aspect ratio adjustment and that is pretty much about it. I don't watch any TV and the rest is handled by my PC or AVR.The build quality of the remote is no better and no worse than the original one supplied with my very expensive OLED 83" G2 and despite my TV not being listed as being compatible with this remote it works perfectly once paired. In the hand it feels a better fit than the original, being a slightly different shape and when I pick it up my thumb tip is in line with the Home button and the Options/menu button which is perfect for my needs, just as I want it to be. The buttons feel nice and positive and things are just better set out. For me the small changes make a massive difference to the usability of the device and I will not be going back to the old one .For the immeasurably improved user experience this remote is well worth the £16.99 asking price. It has solved a frustrating problem caused by a poorly set out original remote.
