While I mostly use the frog/holder part of this item for holding something other than a prop-sword, it serves the purpose just as well. The lacing allows for a little bit of flexibility in size, which is a plus, and the belt hoop will fit upto most regular sized mens belts, should you wish to remove it from the one invluded. The included one works well as a loop tight belt still, and could be trimmed shorter if needed.It fulfils the purpose I had in mind for it, and I'm sure would fulfill the purpose the manufacture had in mind just as well.
