It works with Sony headphones, which have a restrictive hole to push the aux jack into - very annoying feature from Sony.I ideally would like a much longer cable as I use my headphones in devices where I need more length and had to use an extension aux lead

I have the Sony MDR-XB950b1 over ear headphones which can be used with or without a wire. My original wire stopped working after having the headphones for about 3yrs. So I went on a hunt to find a replacement. I came across this one and thought great I will get this one. When I got it, the jack that goes into the headphones fit but doesn't; stay in. I feel that the grey piece of plastic needs to be shorter it is a tad bit too long which is stopping the jack from properly inserting into the hole. That is literally it!, it's a shame though because there is potential for it have been a good product at a really good price.
